When the year comes to a close, I always try to spend time reflecting on how my time was spent. My focus during 2018 was looking for ways to grow AiW and learn to better manage my life/work balance. While I didn’t master either I definitely came out of the year with more of a plan and feeling like I was getting better at both. It was TRULY an unforgettable year! So let’s do a recap and cover some of my favorite moments… and we’ll start with all the traveling, of course!
Places traveled: New York (twice), Las Vegas, Dallas, Austin, New Orleans, San Miguel de Allende, Miami, Pacific City Oregon, Seattle, Paris, Marrakech, Munich, and Santa Fe.
Having a blast at Paris fashion week with Revolve. It’s a week I’ll never forget!Hôtel Plaza AthénéeNot gonna lie, I pretty much loved every outfit I wore in Paris… but… wearing a sheer skirt on the Seine with a bow in my hair, a new bag, and this leopard fur was pretty epic.Spending a long weekend in Miami for my birthday was just the break I needed!Discovered the magical city of San Miguel De Allende with these babes!Went to Santa Fe for a wedding and confirmed that I just adore that city. It’s the best city for doglovers like us!It was my first time in Oregon and couldn’t believe how beautiful the coastline was. Definitely a place I can’t wait to return to.Normally I wouldn’t consider driving out in the middle of nowhere in Oklahoma to be a trip, but we had the best afternoon searching for sunflowers, eating fried okra, and discovering that even small town Oklahoma can have a coffee shop that would make a barista proud.Even though I rarely attend fashion week, the darling Lindsey talked me into it and I’m so glad she did! It was a week of great meetings, fabulous parties, and catching up with my favorite blogger babes. (And isn’t this dress everything??)Stayed at La Mamounia which won the best hotel IN THE WORLD. Check out my post and scroll down for a peek and you’ll quickly see why…I wish I could share how fragrant the gardens are. It’s a smell I will never forget…Can you believe this is real!?! Our “AiW company trip” to Las Vegas started off slow (R had the flu!) but our last day was spent at 2 of our favorite restaurants. And I got to wear this dress, of course!My husband started showing up more on AiW! And coming in the new year, get ready to see more content around men’s fashion. I’m excited for you all to get to know him!

I’ve been wearing this skirt nonstop since I got it!Best splurge — I had been wanting a Goyard tote for a LOOOONG time. But I didn’t like how the bag wouldn’t stand up on its own! I needed a bag that would be perfect for travel or when carrying my laptop to a meeting. Pretty much an everything tote. And their new “Artois” style tote does just that.
