Aspen in the fall is magical. During the fall months this city looks like it’s been painted with red, yellow, and orange brushstrokes. It’s so colorful… but we almost missed it!
Just like life, the weather is unpredictable. Two weeks before our trip there was a snowstorm and a week after we returned home there was an even bigger snowstorm. Luckily we timed our trip perfectly and got to see the Aspen leaves.
We had such a wonderful stay at The Little Nell. The hotel has the best location being right on Aspen mountain. It’s the only ski-in, ski-out hotel in Aspen. Known as Aspen’s only Five-Star, Five-Diamond hotel, this luxury designation was completely renovated this past June. Each room has a fireplace, plush robes, and bar full of complimentary treats. You won’t want to leave! If you’re foodie like me you’ll want to taste the culinary creations at element 47 and the truffle fries at Ajax Tavern. It’s one of the best spots to see and be seen in Aspen.
This sweater dress is BACK IN STOCK!
If you’re looking for a little adventure, take the Audi Test Drive. It’s complimentary for all guests and an amazing way to explore the Colorado Rockies. Early one morning we took the Audi Q7 to see the unforgettable Maroon Bells. (I’ll share more about it tomorrow!) It was one of those moments I’ll never forget. We enjoyed it so much we went back again the next day!
Aside from amazing restaurants and beautiful landscapes, Aspen also has the best shopping! I snuck in a visit to Gucci, Prada, and the original Cos Bar. We just got one in OKC so I loved see the first location. Also you must visit all the upscale consignments shops — you’re guaranteed to find some amazing designer deals!
We had such a great time that we’re thinking of coming back next year at Christmas time. I would love to see the city covered in snow! No matter what time of year, though, be sure to check out The Little Nell and message me if you want any more recommendations. For outfit ideas and scenes of Aspen in the fall be sure to check out this plaid dress, these bow outfits, the gorgeous leaves here, and here, and my “coffee outfit.” And below is a list of all my favorite things in Aspen. It was an amazing trip and I can’t wait to return!
