Fall fashion is my favorite.  If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile you know this is not news, but if this is your first time here then let me share with you why I love it so much.  (And by the way, welcome to AiW,  I’m so happy you’re here!)  So my love affair with fall starts with fashion and ends with pumpkin bread.  (Seriously, who doesn’t love pumpkin bread?)

Growing up I couldn’t wait for back to school shopping.  Not because I was excited about going back to school but because I loved buying tons of fall outfits.  I just hated having to wait for the weather to finally cool down so I could wear them.  In a way, I’m STILL doing that as an adult!

Our recent trip to Aspen was exciting for me.  First of all, because I had never been and secondly for fashion purposes.  I would FINALLY get to wear all the cute fall outfits that had been waiting in my closet for me.  One of those outfits involved this oversized cardigan.  If you recognize it that’s because I have it in grey too!  That should tell you just how much I love it… ha!

Each morning during the trip we spent our days sipping coffee and strolling through town looking at all the shops and homes.  This was one of those mornings.  It was cool but not too cold, so this cardigan was like a cozy little jacket.

I paired it with these patchwork over-the-knee boots and added this animal print clutch.  I ended up wearing the boots all throughout the trip because they were SO comfortable for walking and dressy enough for dinner.  When we travel we try to walk as much as possible so I try to pack pieces like these boots which are stylish yet practical.
