This plaid maxi dress is a splurge…

I try to feature fashionable pieces in all price points.  When I splurge on something I do it because I simply love it or I know that I will wear it for years to come.  With this dress, it was that I could wear it as a long plaid jacket too.   Think of it as a duster, which happens to also be a dress!  And what you might not be able to tell is that it has side and front slits on the bottom of the skirt.
