Exploring LUMA Hotel Times Square

Shop this look

During our recent trip to New York City we had the pleasure of staying at the LUMA Hotel Times Square which gave us the perfect opportunity to explore a part of Manhattan that I hadn’t spent much time in.  Located in Midtown Manhattan between Times Square and Bryant Park, this boutique hotel offers a great location for anyone wanting to explore either of these famous landmarks. Or to take in a show on Broadway!  My husband and I didn’t have time for a show this trip, but we enjoyed the sights of Times Square and caught the end of the ice skating season in Bryant Park.  In fact, it was my husband’s first-time skating which some of you may have seen over on Instagram Stories.  He did great and no falls!

The hotel itself is barely a year old and aims to offer a modern design aesthetic to its guests.  The vibe in our room had an especially modern feel and was paired with a amazing view of the Times Square New Year Ball.  One of the more interesting things you’ll learn upon arriving is learning about the hotel’s personal robot Alina.  This adorable little machine makes deliveries to your room!  It was even kind enough to bring us a welcome note and some bottled water.

As for dining at the hotel, LUMA offers the Ortzi which focuses on Basque cuisine of North Spain and Southern France.  They offer a pre-theater menu too for those planning on attending a Broadway show.  Located in the lobby is the Tapas Bar for lighter food and drink pairings.  And as a quick side note, I just wanted to mention the extremely fast WiFi offered by the hotel.  Being a blogger, I always appreciate a hotel that has amble bandwidth and I’m sure any other business professional would too!  So, if you’re in Midtown Manhattan on your next personal or business trip, add the LUMA Hotel Times Square to your list!
