A slouchy sweater will always be a closet staple for me. I’ve actually had this sweater for months and because I wear it all the time, I forgot to share it with you guys! Since this style is such a favorite of mine I thought I would share how to wear a white oversized sweater.
Make sure it’s not too oversized
You don’t want people questioning if your top is actually a dress! Be sure the sweater isn’t longer than your mid-thigh. You don’t want to be swimming in your sweater. (Unless it’s this one!)
Always pair with a skinny pant
Unless you’re a model, wearing a baggy top with baggy pants will just add tons of bulk. (And in my case, make me look even shorter than I am!) When wearing this style you’ll want to wear skinny jeans or leggings.
Tuck it in
I’m such a fan of the “half tuck” trend. I tend to do it when my tops are too long or slouchy. Especially if you’re on the shorter side this little trick will elongate your legs instantly! Just look at J.Crew on how to master the look.
This white oversized sweater is now 40% off and comes in all the colors below! It’s such a fashion blogger favorite.
Add height with heels
Since the taller you are the easier it is to get away with this look I suggest adding heels. Heels will instantly make your outfit look more polished. And if you’re looking for more of a casual look go for some chunky heeled booties like I wore here.
Keep it casual
Wanting to wear your oversized sweater with sneakers? Then just make sure to keep you pants on the slim and tailored side. Check out this past post where I’m wearing basically this look but with sneakers.
