Upon arriving in San Juan we went straight to our hotel before exploring the city. We were warmly welcomed by the wonderful staff of the Ritz-Carlton San Juan. The lobby has a very cool cosmopolitan vibe with beautiful modern art work standing out against the white marble. Waiting for us in our suite was a bottle of champagne and two matching monogrammed robes. Along with these nice surprises was a sweet letter from the staff wishing my husband and I a happy four year anniversary!
After unpacking we relaxed a bit with a cheers to the occasion and then started planning what to do over the next couple days. With one of our favorite NYC restaurants Il Mulino downstairs, along with a casino, I knew we would be enjoying a good portion of our time at the hotel. To kick off our stay we decided to start with exploring old San Juan and then finish the evening at the hotel with dinner and some light gaming at the casino.
With the forecast showing a high chance of rain all week, we wanted to make sure to see the colorful streets of old San Juan first. More coverage of our trip this week and where we called home so stay tuned!
