Dressing up at home this season

My days of dressing up are a little different now. Most of the time my days are spent in yoga and sweatpants since having a 4-month-old is messy… to say the least! But occasionally I just HAVE to put on a dress to feel like myself again. And it really does the trick!

Even though the holidays will be different this year, I still will be dressing up to enjoy the first Christmas with my son. He may not notice, but I will and it’s those little things that make the holidays special. So today I’m sharing a dress roundup featuring a piece that is two outfits in one, another that’s sweet yet sexy, and my go-to dress to wear with sneakers.

Allsaints two-piece sweater & dress

This Allsaints dress is a favorite of mine. It’s my second one because I also have it in grey too. I love how you can wear it on its own, with the sweater, or wear the sweater with jeans. It’s so versatile!

Reformation high slit dress

I’ve always been a fan of Reformation and their dresses. This one is simple enough (pretty floral, turtleneck, ruffle sleeves) but what makes it stand out is the high slit in the front. It’s not for the fashion faint of heart!

The must-have sweater dress

As for the dress I wear most often these days, it’s definitely the sweater dress. And since I’m just at home or running the occasional errand, I’ll wear them with sneakers (love these Veja’s) or combat boots. (The pair I’m wearing come in tan and black too.) Both the ones above are under $100!

You can find all these dresses at Nordstrom and they ship just in time for Christmas. So, I want to know… are you going to dress up this holiday season?
