A little over a month ago we took a trip to the lake. I thought it would be a nice little getaway for just the two of us… but I never expected it was going to be so much fun! It used to be that for a true vacation I wanted to get out of Oklahoma but my mind has changed so much. Aside from OKC having so much to do right now, there are many other amazing parts of our state. That’s why we took a trip down to Broken Bow…
Broken Bow luxury cabin
If you haven’t heard of it, Broken Bow Lake is in the southeast part of the state. It’s truly beautiful area of the country and there’s so much to do! As for where to stay we found this beautiful Broken Bow luxury cabin called Rustic Heights. It’s part of the Rustic Luxury Cabins group of lodgings. They offer 4 cabins with unique floorplans of varying sizes. While all are nestled in the woods they are still conveniently located right by restaurants, breweries, and more. And you can work off all that food with some long hikes (Trail Map). I know it’s more common for people to think of the lake as a place to go during the summer, but I love it so much during the fall and winter seasons. It was so cozy!!
And today I’m sharing all the beautiful images of this magical place. It’s a 2 bedroom cabin that accommodates up to 6 guests. It’s roughly 2,150 square feet with over 1,000 square feet of deck space for entertaining and relaxing. And the living room has 33 feet of floor to ceiling windows. No surprise that it was our favorite room in the house! There’s also 2 wood burning fireplaces on the front & back decks — we had one burning while we were in the hot tub. Scroll below to see more!
