Iced coffee, inexpensive kitchen decor + my must-have beauty secrets

Shop this look

Hello friends!!! I’m back at home and getting into the swing of things. This post is going to be quite random but I wanted to share a look at my home and the small furniture pieces I’ve recently purchased along with what beauty favorites make getting ready on the go much EASIER.

Health update: give me BACK my coffee

First of all, if you follow my IG stories you know my acid reflux has been pretty bad the past 6 months. (Like I gave up coffee and red wine bad.) The main culprit is my beloved coffee. I LOVE COFFEEEEEEE! So after some research I found out that iced coffee was less acidic than regular coffee. (Also that the light roast that I prefer IS MORE acidic than a dark roast… can you believe.) So I’ve switched to this low acid cold brew from Trader Joe’s. It has a more bitter flavor than most coffee and admittedly that took some getting used to, but I just mix it with some vanilla almond milk and I’m good to go! And it doesn’t bother me like regular coffee. If you have GERD it’s worth a try.

Kitchen decor update

We are still slooooowly working on our home. Since most of the changes we have to make are very $$$ I’m on the lookout for decor that will give us the most bang for our buck. Our kitchen is very long and galley-like so I wanted to distract from that with an island + rug combo. Both were very inexpensive and really changed the look of our kitchen — not to mention the island has come in handy when cooking. (PS. get it all on sale today only during their Black Friday in July sale!)

Beauty tips for those on the go

Last week I shared some easy and inexpensive products to get glowing this summer. (Especially that UNDER $4 scrub!) But there are a couple of other things that keep me looking my best without trying hard. First up… lash extensions… I SWEAR BY THEM. But do your research and only go with the best. I go to Lash by Lash in Nichols Hills Plaza and recommend them HIGHLY!!

As for makeup, my go-to “foundation” is IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream. It’s been my favorite for years and the #1 question I get asked about when it comes to my skin. It works and it shows! (Ps. it comes in a matte version too which is great for summer.)

And about my long locks… I’ve gone back to longer extensions because surprisingly they make getting ready SO EASY! Generally I can just brush my hair in the morning and I’m good to go. Check out @Traceydoeslife for more info and message me if you have any questions!
