Let’s go back… to New Year’s Eve.  This is the velvet wrap top I wore which became my quasi ode to Hugh Hefner.  It reminds me of his iconic smoking jacket.  And for a casual NYE party it was so cozy that I felt like I was wearing a very stylish pair of pj’s.  For NYE I wore it with black denim but for a more casual look I’ve been wearing it with my favorite flare/cropped jeans.  They’re perfect for showing off your shoes — and speaking of shoes, I can tell these heels are going to quickly become my go-to pair of black heels.  (Did you see them in yesterday’s post?)

Style tip — I’ve recently been wearing this velvet wrap top as a jacket.  It’s a simple put-together look when paired with a simple white tank underneath and my favorite sneakers.  It also PERFECTLY matches this star bag which has been my newest and most popular trendy piece.  (By the way, did you see my star trend wrap up?)

And thank you for all the sweet DM’s I received about my Gran.  Today I’m taking her to the doctor to see the next step.  I’m assuming it will be surgery but we’ll see.  She’s doing better but so ready to be back on her feet.  Keep the prayers and positive thoughts coming — my family so appreciates it!
