Sometimes you have to stop and take a breather.
That was me yesterday… and Sunday. I just had a couple days where I felt a little lost. Coming to you on a Monday saying, “Happy Monday guys!” just felt a little fake. And I don’t want to come off like that. I always want to be honest with you guys. So instead, I took the day to brainstorm and regroup. And I NEVER take time off the blog.
It turned out to be just what I needed.
I know most of you are just as busy as I am but it really reminded me how we all need to take time for ourselves. What I got out of it was a new focus and a new outlook on blogging, especially what I’ve missed about it. Such as, taking more fashion risks and touching on the art and business of fashion. When I started AiW it was very artsy and full of editorial layouts showcasing the best of my favorite designers. I really want to go back to that… but differently.
There’s nothing I love more than looking through the pages of W or Bazaar magazine and seeing all the crazy fashion pieces, along with the newest dreamy shoes and bags. It gives me so much inspiration. So I’m thinking of doing more, “how to get the look” style of posts, along with designer highlights like I did with Zac Zac Posen.
Is there anything you would like to see more of? I’ve had so many new bloggers contact me asking questions so I was also thinking of a Q&A type of post. Would you enjoy a blogging tip type of post? Let me know in the comments or you can always email or DM me on Instagram. I would love to know what you want to see next!
Remember how I mentioned taking risks? Well let’s start with what I call mom jeans. I’m going old school in these Levis “wedgie” jeans.
Yes, they are really called that…
