On my recent trip to New York City I had the pleasure of staying at the Library Hotel. This cozy property is located, not surprisingly, near the New York Public Library and the equally well known Bryant Park. Its most notable feature is the darling Dewey Decimal detailing and aesthetic of its namesake. Throughout the hotel, including your room, is an abundant collection of books. These little accents aren’t just for decoration, they are also a key amenity that the staff encourages you to partake in. In fact their extensive collection is made up of over 6,000 books from a range of topics.
One of my favorite features was the Library Hotel rooftop. Being the night owl that I am, my other favorite feature is their Reading Room with its 24 hour access to coffee, snacks, and desserts. There’s nothing better than being able to get a good cappuccino at 11 o’clock at night to keep you focused on your work. It’s included in your stay, so you’ll also be enjoying breakfast there as well. If you happen to find yourself in the city, you should certainly consider a stay at this literary gem of a lodge.
More photos from my trip: the sweater dress, exploring NYC, the cold shoulder, plaid for fall, fall leaves and burgundy.
Thank you to the Library Hotel for an amazing stay!
