The blogging world is a small place. Sometimes it seems like there are so many of us and other times I’m reminded what a small world it truly is. Recently, I was contacted by Dallas fashion blogger, Brooke Burnett, after finding out we had a mutual acquaintance. A few emails later and we also discovered that we were from the same town, and even attended the same high school! I may have a couple grades on her (okay more like five) but it’s pretty funny to consider that we never crossed paths before.
She and I met up a few Sundays ago for cocktails and to talk about the funny world of fashion blogging, especially from the perspective of growing up in Edmond, Oklahoma. During our talk we thought it would be fun to come up with a little questionnaire about the other. Read below to learn a little bit more about Brooke.
When/why did you start blogging? — I have had my blog for a few years now, but this time last year is when I officially started focusing on fashion/beauty blogging and really put effort into this passion of mine. I started the blog because I own a digital marketing company, and do social media/blogging for all of my clients. I realized I didn’t have a creative outlet for myself, and with my background in the social industry I figured I’d put my skills to work with the blog. I really wasn’t expecting anything out of the blog except something fun for me, but I’ve been so beyond surprised how it has grown over the past year!
Favorite accessory? — I have a major obsession with handbags…no joke! I’m currently obsessing over this new Loeffler Randal embossed convertible clutch and I’m in love with the pastel handbag trend like this Tory Burch light pink crossbody.
Favorite beauty product? — I have a small acne problem so I am always looking for products that will help maintain my breakouts and reduce acne scars. Currently I’ve been using the GlamGlow mask a few times a week which helps with all of my face problems.
Favorite trip? — I’d have to say Napa! But…I am going to Paris, Rome and London in a few weeks so I’ll get back to you on this 😉
Dream job? — Honestly, I’m not sure. I have been extremely blessed and currently do what I love. If anything I’d love to blog full time and travel with my future super hot husband!
