It’s amazing to look back at how much fashion blogging has changed.  First of all, saying you were a fashion blogger almost had a negative connotation.  I remember a friend of my mine telling her husband I had a fashion blog and he literally laughed in my face.  But it didn’t bother me then… and it most certainly doesn’t now.  I’m proud to tell people I’m a fashion blogger.  And all of you other bloggers should be too!

I find myself inspired by other bloggers.  I love to see their work and how our business is changing.  It isn’t a total secret that a dream of mine has been to design.  Seeing other fashion bloggers have their own lines just inspires me MORE.  So today I wanted to share a piece from a blogger who is doing just that — have you seen the Something Navy x Treasure & Bond collaboration?

This cable knit sweater dress is from the collection and comes in navy too.  (Appropriate, right?)  As far as fit, it’s pretty fitted and I’m wearing the XS for reference.  I love the way it pairs with over-the-knee boots.  And while the ones I’m wearing are sold out these are 50% off.  And you probably recognize the watch from this post.  I’m still loving how it tracks my steps especially as I try to get my diet back on track after the holidays!

But back to fashion bloggers and MY GOALS.

The ultimate goal for me will always involve design of some kind and as far as short term goals they include video and working on more beauty posts.  (Speaking of, did you enter my Colleen Rothschild giveaway?!  It’s for $200 of products!)

Since I mentioned adding beauty content here’s a little peek into my makeup bag.  My makeup approach in today’s post (and really every post) is pretty minimal.  My current favorites are this concealer kit and this lip gloss that I combine with this lipliner.   I wear all of these almost every day!
