There are four fall sweaters you’re going to want to wear this year. I feel like this is going to be the best sweater season EVER. (I say that because it was almost impossible for me to narrow down all the sweaters I’m loving right now.) So we’re going to focus on the following four styles I’m obsessing over.
First up is the statement sleeve sweater.
It could be bell sleeves, ruffled sleeves or balloon sleeves like I’m wearing here. Just find a fabulous sweater with stylish sleeves and you’re good to go! For this bright top I wore it with sneakers and jeans but it would also be cute with leather pants. No matter what you wear it with just know that with these sleeves you’re going to stand out.
Stay cool with a cold shoulder sweater.
I don’t like the name. (Cold shoulder sounds like you’re ignoring someone. Much too mean!) But I certainly do love the style. This sweater comes in blue, burgundy, and black and is so very wearable. I like wearing it with jeans, pants, or skirts… really it goes with everything!
Ready and ruffled for the weekend.
I swear on Fridays I always find myself saying, “ruffled and ready for the weekend” in my Instagram captions. What can I say, I love ruffles and the weekend! Speaking of, this ruffled olive green sweater dress can be worn with bare legs and booties or with leggings when it gets cooler. It’s pretty lightweight so you can wear it now and then add black tights (I still love them) and a black leather jacket.
Long and lean is so flattering.
A long cardigan is such an essential piece… year-round! The one I’m wearing is lightweight and really great for these transitional weather days. It’s the sweater you can keep in the office or car just as a little layer when you need it. Comes in 3 other colors but I love this tan one combined with my white jeans. Because why did anyone say no white after Labor Day?!?
So which sweater is your favorite? I found all these amazing pieces at Nordstrom! They also have so many more cute sweaters. You may find yourself just as overwhelmed as I was, but at least this little guide will help you getting started on a fashionable fall wardrobe!
