I don’t dress up as much as I used to.  A couple of years ago it seemed like I was going to weddings nonstop or there was an event every weekend.  While it was exhausting, I really love dressing up and going out so I’m totally missing it.  I’m getting to the age where most of my friends are married and have very young children so they can’t go out.  As far as my life goes, I’ve been busily working on the blog so that means many nights of staying in.  All that being said, I now really cherish the act of getting ready (and actually doing my makeup — I’m a minimalist girl) and breaking out a new dress.

So let’s get to THIS DRESS.  If you want a showstopper you must try on this Milly dress.  The Wall Street Journal even called this an IT dress… and I can see why.  This red ruffle off the shoulder dress is flattering on everyone and it was comfortable enough I could actually eat a meal in it without feeling like I was being suffocated hahaha!  If bright red is too vibrant for you, I would go with the white (perfect for the bride-to-be or a white party) and you can never go wrong with black or navy.  The night I wore it I had so many compliments.  I’ll be looking for more excuses to wear it again that’s for sure!
