I know it’s not “officially” summer yet — but this weekend made it feel that way. Memorial Day weekend always seems like the kick off to summer doesn’t it? We pretended it was and tried to spend as much time as possible outside. And the weather mostly cooperated… except when we had to get into the storm shelter. Luckily the storm missed us but it certainly was scary! Not the way I wanted to spend my Saturday night! There was some damage far south from us but mostly the city of El Reno got the brunt of the storm. So terrible!

The next day the pretty weather returned and we spent it outside — in the perfect dress, of course! I’m such a fan of LoveShackFancy. Do you remember when I wore one of their dresses in Hawaii? It was so cute!

On Sunday I wore the black version to a pool party/cookout, then to the Paseo Art’s Festival, and ended the day at the Red Rooster. Red Rooster was always known more as a historic dive bar (open since 1937) but it has recently had a major facelift and is now a stylish foodie neighborhood tavern. My husband loved the tacos and I loved their soba noodles.

I know I’ll be taking this dress on many more date nights, trips, and summer nights spent outside. Where would you wear this dress? And which color would you pick?
