So after SXSW, Punta Mita, AND moving into a new house, the last thing I wanted to do was leave town again. BUT I’M SO GLAD I DID! Where did I go, you might ask…to #RSthecon in Dallas.
So what is #RSthecon? Let me break it down for you…
#RSthecon
It’s a conference where bloggers like myself get together to meet with brands and the rewardStyle team. RewardStyle allows bloggers/content creators to monetize their work. For instance, when you click on a link on this blog or on the Liketoknow.it app and purchase an item, I make a small commission. It’s an invaluable part of my business and a must-have tool for influencers!
Is it just a big party?
Wellllll, yes and no, ha. During the day there are meetings and classes which can bring on new business along with education on where the influencer market is going next. And then at night is when the champagne corks pop and the party begins!
What I learned at #RSthecon2019
There was so much information! It can be overwhelming so I’ll let you know the main things I took away from it. First of all, be yourself. I know that sounds dumb but the best way to stand out is simply, “you do you!” Secondly, there are some major changes coming to IG stories but I’m not sure when that’s happening but it will make it easier to shop my outfits. And lastly, that the Liketoknow.it app continues to be the EASIEST and BEST way to shop your favorite influencers’ outfits. I will continue to use it more this year!
