Let me suggest styling a denim skirt with slides this summer…

That’s right, the denim skirt is back and is actually pretty stylish.  In all honesty, I think the last time I wore a denim skirt I was also wearing short polos, white tank tops, and Laguna Beach was on tv.  Yeah, it’s been awhile.  Let’s not revisit that time, instead there’s a modern way to style them… just add slides.

You know I’ve been living in my Princetown slides and they have been one of the best investment pieces I’ve ever bought!  They were quite the splurge, but I came across these (for $22) and these (for $79) which are both great versions and look similar.  Styling a denim skirt with slides is the perfect way to make your outfit look more current.  I even like styling them with sneakers!  Just pair your favorite stripe tee (OBSESSED with this one right now)with this skirt and add some fresh kicks for a weekend ready outfit.

Now all I have to ask… is it the weekend yet?
