Today’s post is combining two things I love… dresses (this yellow ruffle back dress) and food (The Jones Assembly)

Growing up in Oklahoma City — in all honestly — was a little boring.  Sorry, but it was!  But times have SERIOUSLY changed.  Now when I’m scanning Twitter or I’m on Facebook I’m constantly seeing new restaurants, shops, and venues that are opening up in my city.  It feels like such an exciting time to be in OKC.

One of the newest additions is the The Jones Assembly which can be described as part restaurant, part concert venue.  They serve elevated American cuisine (try the goat pizza) and craft cocktails.  And it doesn’t hurt that it’s completely Instagrammable — it’s seriously one stylish destination.  (Be sure to check out the wallpaper in the bathrooms upstairs!)

And speaking about the upstairs, I think I found my new hangout this summer.  Before sipping my cocktail I knew I would have to take some quick pics of the decor to share with you, so I went up there.  How amazing are the hanging plants?!?

And now let’s get to the outfit — this happy and sunny yellow dress was the perfect complement to the patio.  Not only because I matched but also because it was one balmy night and this lightweight dress was so comfortable and cute.
