So…  this post is a little late, which is the story of my life.

I’m a natural night owl just like my mom.  She was in town this past weekend and was up till 2am and my husband was just amazed.  He was like you two are just the same, wide awake at midnight and complete zombies in the morning.

Morning has always been a bad word in my vocabulary.  I was born at 10am and if I had a choice, I would start each day at that time.  My struggle to become a morning person is just that… a struggle.  I’ve even seriously considered putting a coffee machine ON my night stand to get me out of bed quicker.  While I haven’t done that yet, we now have this light up alarm that seems to help.  That combined with going to bed at a reasonable hour is my new personal challenge to myself.

Now let’s get to this outfit and what on earth it has to do with being a morning person…

Sometimes I have a morning meeting and while it’s a rare occasion, it happens and with it a blurry-eyed half-asleep visit into my closet.  I keep about preaching about how amazing this jacket is, but honestly it has been one of the best things to happen to my closet.  (It’s now 35% off!)  

I love that I can throw it over a summer dress like this one and be comfortably ready to go and still look like I actually write a fashion blog.  Truthfully, most of my days in these pants and my Superstars.  And there’s nothing wrong with that… haha.
