Even though I love a statement piece, I will always fall back on the basics.  A closet needs some outrageous pieces, but more than that it needs to be stocked with well-loved classics that you will use again and again.  Several months ago, when I was having a meeting about redoing my website I was asked what my favorite colors were.  Looking at AiW now I’m sure you can tell that they just happen to be black and tan.  To me these colors just always look clean, modern, and go with everything!  Which is probably why most of my bags are in these two colors.

Speaking of bags, when you travel as much as I do you look for bags that are stylish and will hold everything you need.  Even though I just got home from Santa Barbara, we’re hitting the road today to drive down to Dallas.  Coming with me will be this SCHÖNEBERG Augustina bag.  It’s crafted in Italy from luxe Italian calfskin leather which is soft but extremely strong.
