Being my first time to Chicago I really wanted to stay near the famous Michigan Avenue. The W Hotel Lakeshore is conveniently situated just steps away from the Magnificent Mile and faces Lake Michigan. We were lucky enough to stay in a fabulous suite with a gorgeous lake view. This insane room was packed with amenities. It featured a record player, foosball table, a massive couch and my favorite, a cozy swinging chair. I was in heaven swinging around while listening to Amy Winehouse and Miles Davis. The nostalgic pops and cracks of the vinyl were such a charming touch. The suite would be the perfect place to host an awesome party!
With the hotel being so close to Michigan Ave, my afternoon was spent shopping and admiring the architecture of downtown Chicago. After a long day of walking, it was nice to relax in the giant tub and sip on some bubbly as I prepared for my evening. It began with drinks at the Living Room bar located in the lobby of the hotel. The space is very modern and chic with plenty of energy at all hours. After some choice cocktails I moved on to dinner at Current located right next to the bar. If you’re visiting the hotel, make sure to order the polenta fries. They are incredible and would be perfect to share with friends! After a delicious meal, it was time to hit the town and explore some more of the famous Chicago nightlife.
A special thanks to the W Hotel Lakeshore for making my first, but not last, trip to Chicago a spectacular experience. The service and experience could not have been better. If you’re planning a trip to the Windy City consider a stay at W Hotel Lakeshore and let me know what you think!
