Do you shop for practicality or for your dreams?  

I have a friend who emails me clothing items and says things like, ” this would be perfect if we were in Maine in October, or this would be wonderful if I was throwing a dinner party on a warm autumn evening in early September.”  I mean really, really, detailed outfit ideas.  You may say she’s a dreamer… but she’s not the only one…

I do the same thing, but on a smaller scale.  For example, when I saw this dress I knew I would have to wear it in Jamaica.  The bright colors and the toucan details make it the ideal beach dress.  Or I can wear it back at home and just pretend I’m still on the beach.
