For the first half of my #Scottsdaleinvasion I stayed at the absolutely charming Saguaro Hotel. Maybe it’s just serendipity because one month prior to booking this trip I just happened to come across this colorful hotel on Pinterest .
Who can resist their eye catching decor…
After several unfortunate plane delays, due to weather, I checked in late to the hotel but made it in time for dinner at the hotel’s restaurant Distrito. This Mexican restaurant is where Iron Chef winner Jose Garces crafts some seriously delicious dishes. I sampled a few of these which included the Pescado a la Veracruzana, Queso Fundido (with duck barbacoa) and my personal favorite, guacamole with crab. I never thought to mix the two but it is something I will definitely start doing next time I make guacamole!
The next morning I started my day with a light breakfast in the room. Even though I was stuffed from the previous evening I can never pass up the opportunity for room service. The rest of the day included the desert adventure you read about yesterday at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West. Tomorrow on the blog I’ll show you what I did afterwards and how my day ended with yet another tasty meal. I’ve come to learn that Scottsdale has some of the best food I have ever tasted. Coming from this picky foodie that’s high praise indeed!
More about my trip later but for now let’s focus on this little striped dress. Details below!
Outfit details /// MILLY for DesigNation Striped Fit & Flare Dress c/o /// Saint Laurent Monogramme Matelasse Shoulder Bag /// Sophia Webster Keira Doily-Pattern Patent Sandal /// Theirry Lasry Flirty sunglasses from Black Optical
I was compensated by the Scottsdale CVB for my stay. Opinions are my own.
