Next week I’m off to Hawaii with my family for Thanksgiving so I’ve been busy packing and planning. There’s an art to the right travel outfit. These days traveling means your fashion choices need to be functional and comfortable but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try to be chic.

For me, there are several essential must haves…
A large tote — In my tote I carry my laptop, camera, phone/computer charger, a magazine or two, and a pair of warm socks or slippers for the flight. I also make sure to throw in my favorite Kind bar so that I’m not stuck eating airplane food.
Oversized sweater or scarf — I always freeze on the plane and I don’t want to carry a blanket. Wearing a cozy sweater or an oversized blanket scarf is the perfect way to stay warm and chic.
Flats — I prefer to wear heels but they’re not the best decision when you’re trying to run to the next terminal. That’s why I always keep a pair of flats in my tote. That way I can slip them on when my feet need a break and they’re much easier to run in!
These three little details will have you traveling comfortably and most importantly… in style.
