I’m a minimalist when it comes to makeup.  I tend to prefer a more natural look, except when it comes to my lips.   There’s nothing I love more than a bright and bold lipstick — especially a red one.  Since red lipstick can be a very sexy look I suggest keeping the eye makeup to a minimum.

In order from the top…

1) Yves Saint Laurent ‘Rouge Pur Couture – Vernis a Levres’ Glossy Stain in #8 Orange De Chine ///  This lip stain stays put and doesn’t dry out your lips.  This shade has a touch of orange, but not too much.  I would also like to try it in a more natural pink shade.

2)  Yves Saint Laurent ‘Rouge Pur Couture’ Lip Color in #13 Le Orange ///  It’s a bright orange tinted red that looks amazing on pale girls like myself.

3)  Nars ‘Heat Wave’ semi matte lipstick ///  It’s a long lasting matte red that is easy to apply and doesn’t feather.  It’s truly one of the only lipsticks that doesn’t need a lipliner.  This is the perfect lipstick for daily wear.

4)  Kevyn Aucoin Expert Lip Color, in Blood Roses ///  This vampy shades takes me back to 90s.  It’s like CLINIQUE’s famous ‘black honey’  only it’s much darker and true lipstick not a gloss.
