Pleated pants are tricky and I have a love/hate relationship with them.  When it comes to menswear I find pleats old and ugly, but with womenswear it can seem fresh and modern.  When I saw these blush J.Crew pleated crepe pants I wanted to give them a try.  I think the key to wearing pleats is to do the half-tuck.  Tuck your shirt in the front and let it hang in the back.  That way the back has a long and lean look while the front billows out.  I think that’s the definition of modern styling — a little bit neat and a little messy.
