I always call myself an Okie/Texan because while I live in Oklahoma my entire family is spread out all over Texas. Every holiday, birthday, and plenty of weekends are spent in the lone star state. Before our trip to Dallas, last weekend we stopped in Fort Worth to visit my mom. Trips to Fort Worth usually included a stop at Joe T’s Garcia’s in the stockyards. It’s one of those places I remember going to as a kid, and it just keeps getting better and better. While the food is your standard Mexican fare what we really come for are the beautiful gardens. When you’re seated by those fountains listening to the live guitar players it’s impossible not to be transported back to some tranquil Mexican vacation.
Now let’s get to what I’m wearing…
After a 3 hour drive in the ca,r you can bet I’m going to arrive a little rumpled. Thankfully the shirt I’m wearing came pre-wrinkled — so take that long car ride, I’m supposed to look like this! Also when sitting outside in the Texas heat, I wanted a baggy lightweight top that keeps me cool. This Nasty Gal Evan blouse did just the trick.
