For me, the 4th of July represents the official start of summer.  It’s that first summer holiday when all your family and friends gather to celebrate.  I’ve been very lucky that my best friend and her family always include me in their holiday celebration.  It’s a festive weekend with sparklers, cocktails, and relaxing on the lake.

Something different about this year was the weather… it was PERFECT.  I’m so used to hot and humid Oklahoma summers that I was positively giddy over the cooler temperatures.  I took every opportunity to enjoy the outside with this halter maxi comfortably flowing in the breeze.
