be curious | allyson in wondlerlandI’ve been in a funk.

As a blogger, we tend to present the best versions of our life.  I wish my life looked like my Instagram — trust me it doesn’t.  In addition to AiW, I have my 8 to 5 gig and a social media job. Most of my free time is spent in my pjs with my head buried in my laptop and my husband letting me know I haven’t moved or spoken in several hours.  And let’s not even talk about what my hair looks like…

(Giant undone bun.  And not a cute one.  More like the kind that makes you look a little crazy.)

I’m sharing this because I think it’s important to discuss what we’re all going through. I tend to be very private, so I don’t normally speak this frankly.  I’ve been blogging for over 4 years and now look at it more as a business than just a hobby.  I would love to branch out and see where this journey takes me, therefore, it’s time to suit up or shut up.

The outfit above is my new boss lady attire.  If it’s “important to dress for the job you want, not the job you have” apparently my new job requires a tux or at least a tux inspired dress.  Although I wouldn’t mind one day owning the real thing.

For further inspiration, I’m reading The Glitter Plan and #GIRLBOSS.  These books will be my guide along with my continued curiosity for what to do with my blog.  I used to be overwhelmed by such thoughts, but now I’m embracing my next chapter.
