This past Saturday marked the beginning of Summer and I was ready for it.  We spent it by the pool having caipirinhas followed by dinner with friends on the patio.  In other words, it was the perfect way to enjoy the longest day of the year.

As everyone knows I love to dress up, but once the temperature goes up my casual side comes out.  I find myself wearing less heels and moving onto wedges and sandals like these Joie’s I’m wearing.  These sandals slip on as easy as flip flops but are so much more stylish.  After wearing them I’ve decided to stick with these instead of going down the Birkenstock route.  Now give me twenty more years and maybe I’ll finally give into those funky flats…
