Lately, there has been a lot of chatter online (1, 2, 3) regarding the fashion trend of draping a jacket over one’s shoulders.  First of all, this isn’t a new trend.  Go back to the 50s and you will see plenty of men and women with cardigans draped casually over their shoulders.  The look exudes effortless elegance and for me it serves a purpose.  In our car door-to-front-door society most of the time I only need my coat for just that brief moment!

And let’s be honest… I really just like how it looks.
