Sunday night beauty — BB Creams

As mentioned in previous posts, l’ve been wanting to writing about my favorite beauty products.  While I’m no skincare expert, I do love trying new products and makeup trends.  Even when they don’t work, I enjoy experimenting with new creams, potions, and the promises they claim to deliver.

To kick off my new beauty series, I’ll be testing out BB creams.  I’m pretty new to the whole BB concept (meaning beauty or blemish creams) but I’m all about any product that works double duty.  Many BB creams promise to hydrate and even out skin tone, while some have the added bonus of providing sunscreen.  Below are several that I’ve tried out.

the best BB creams

DR. JART+ Black Label Detox BB Beauty Balm – A bit on the thick side, but perfect if you like a little fuller coverage.  I found it to be a little dark on my pale skin and I wish they had more than two shades.

Kiehl’s Since 1851 ‘Actively Correcting & Beautifying’ BB Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 50 — When I was flying out of San Francisco, I stopped by the Kiehl’s store in the airport for some much need lip balm.  Fortunately I was also lucky enough to leave with a sample of their BB cream.  I was INSTANTLY hooked!  It provided enough coverage to where I don’t even need my foundation and with an SPF of 50 I know that my skin is protected.

Miracle Skin Transformer SPF 20 Face — This summer I’ll be switching over to this product because it has a matte finish.  It’s not called a BB cream, although it sounds like one to me.  It really did transform my skin!  I noticed that my pores appeared smaller and my skin looked less oily through the day than it usually does.
