I’m always talking about the importance of classic pieces. I know that classics like basic black pants are must-haves, but they can be boring.  That’s why I’m always looking for  “new classics” — versatile, essential pieces that have little details that make them interesting and anything but ordinary.

I’ve been in love with the brand Emerson Fry for a while now.  They have embraced the new classics and updated them with some modern mastery.  Even though we were snowed in this past weekend I could not wait to try on these new boots.  The deep slit on the side make them unlike any boot I’ve ever owned.  It’s details like this that will have me coming back to them again and again.
