We all have our adult security blankets — mine comes in the form of clothing. That perfect cozy sweater or that just worn in tee can make us feel like nothing can hurt us. My “blanket” is my Jim Morrison tee. I used to wear that tee every time I flew, but after an incident involving a barf bag I said, “screw you Jim” and found a more appropriate travel outfit.
It has been a while since I wore my trusty tee, so today I felt the need to dig it out and let Jim see the world again. He may be tucked away under my vest, but Mr. Mojo Risin’ is still waiting to rock out. I must also mention that when leaving the house in a beat up tee, long vest, lace shorts and stilettos my husband looked at me strangely. His expression said, “I’m not too sure about your look.” Sorry babe, Jim and I are ready to party.
