“night moves”

I’ve been trying to stay away from this so-called pajama dressing trend.

It has always seemed tacky to me.  Every college campus has their early morning classrooms littered with students dressed in pj pants, tee shirts, and little dignity. Then something changed. I came across a matching silk top and pants set at Zara and suddenly I envisioned something very different from a stinky old classroom.

I now see the Playboy mansion.  Not the sight of a gross old man covered in barely legal blonds, but by the nostalgia of the 60s. I envision dark wood paneling, low lighting, and a smokey haze.  Of course, Mr. Hefner’s trademark silk pajamas come to mind.  After putting on my daytime pjs I now know why he likes them, I feel comfort but put together.   There’s something about a perfectly matching print that feels vintagy, but oh so modern.

This week I’m going to explore pajama dressing by wearing it 3 different ways.  To start off, I’m wearing printed silk head to toe.  Now all I need is a nightcap.*

Wearing in WonderlandZara tie-print top, Zara pants, YSL arty ring, earrings by Soo Ihn Kim, Alexander Wang ‘Morgan’ bag.

*The drink, not the hat.
