It's that time of year again!  

Tonight is fashion's OFFICIAL party night.  All over the globe, fashion's biggest and brightest stars will come together to support all aspecst of the fashion industry.  

Unfortunately, I will not be attending this year's big bash because I must attend an even MORE important party.  

Someone's best friend is getting married…(mine)

"Totally important" designer, Azzedine Alaïa, presented his first couture show in 8 years this week at Fall 2011 Paris Couture Fashion Week.  The excited crowd featured celebrities such as Donatella Versace, Sofia Coppola and Kanye West.  And Alaïa didn't disappoint.

The collection was filled with his famous knitwear.  He has been working with the same mill in Italy for the last 30 years.  Having that long relationship has insured that his trademark form-fitting gowns will always be perfect.  Alaïa's style has always been extrememly body conscious, but this collection proved he could be sexy and subdued.

This time of year I'm glued to my computer.  Style.com and NYmag.com become my bestest friends.  This is the fashion superbowl and I'm ready to bet on the trends.
