Lanvin for H&M

 It's almost here…

Lanvin for H&M won't hit the stores until November 23rd, but here is a sneak peak.

L

I MUST HAVE THE RED NECKLACE!!!

Prices range goes from $149 to $249 for dresses, $99 for heels, and $149 to $349 for outerwear.

Unfortunately, there currently are no H&M stores in the Oklahoma/Texas area. But don't fret, Southern Belles — good news is on the way!  H&M will be opening their FIRST Texas store in Dallas next year!  It will be located in my favorite shopping stop, Northpark Mall.  See you fashionistas at the grand opening.

Didn't get enough Lanvin?  Check out this video, Dolls.

When I see these…

 …I automatically think,"where's my hookah"

 and I also think…

"it's HAMMERTIME"

But regardless, I broke down and did it.  I bought a pair of harem pants.  Also known to us 80's children as hammerpants.

Too le-git.  Too le-git-to-quit…

So then I wondered, where should l wear these pants first?  What arena would cherish my new funky find?

NORTHPARK!

Safety pin

Best mall ever.

Fashion and art happily commingling to my delirious delight.  Northpark will be my safe haven where I will be free to rock my fashion freedom.

Walking through Northpark, I notice how much my DVF "Opal" wedges remind of Jonathan Borofsky's Hammering Men sculptures.

Both are
black, sculptured, and very architectural.

 But back to
the hammerpants…

While walking
around, I received 2 snickers, 1 point and stare, and several people
gave me the up-and-down look.

WELL

I knew there would be one store that would
appreciate my fashion-forward pants…

… my mecca,
Neiman Marcus.  After stepping through the entrance, I was attacked by a
salesman begging me to tell him where I acquired them.  At least he
loved them.  Even my own dear Mum laughed when I put them on, but I
don't care…

Life is short,
take risks!!!

So Ladies, wear your harem pants with your head
held high and remember that style is all about what you're comfortable
in.  And it also helps that these pants are ridiculously comfy.

Who shot JR???

OK I don’t remember because I was just an innocent child at the time… ummm, innocent may not be the right word.  I can still remember my family gathering around the TV to watch Dallas and the  fateful day that JR got shot.  I was working my usual 7 to 9 shift as the family bartender.  Yes, I was only 4 at the time but I took my job very seriously.  I would ride my plastic horse from chair to chair taking down the drink orders and just joking around with the customers trying to keep up the jovial spirit of the evening. Now, I must be honest and let you know that the drinks were just water that I “mixed” using different decanters to create that perfect drink.  For some reason I was memorized by the large wooden bar which happened to be in the den where all the TV-watching took place.  Thinking back on that, it explains sooooo much…
But I digress, this post is really supposed to be about the Donna Karan “Cold Shoulder” dress which happens to remind me of the good ol’ Dallas days.  I believe if Sue Ellen was around today she would be strolling around the Southfork Ranch in this fabulous gown.  I also happen to think I would look fabulous in it as well, perhaps behind the bar serving my specialty “water on the rocks” with a paper umbrella for a touch of ambiance.
