Summer ready for under $200

With Memorial Day coming up, it's time to start planning vacations.  And even better, planning outfits!

Here's what I'll be wearing.  If you want to look same look, the whole outfit will cost you under $200.

Not one item above is over $70.

Ladies, start your engines.

Objet du jour – the essential beach bag

Ever since I got back from vacation I've been dying to go on another one.  Unfortunately, I suffer from a debilitating disease know as "vacation-itis."

Symptoms include:

    – dry mouth when looking at Travel + Leisure,

     - irritability when having to sit in a desk chair that isn't in a foreign country

    – stomach aches when eating bad American food

    – sweaty palms when watching The Travel Channel

    – a mutual hatred of Samantha Brown and Anthony Bourdain (OK, more like jealously)

    – speaking with a foreign accent when in fact you are not foreign

      and the list goes on…

The only treatment for my condition is copious amounts of vacation, but this can become very costly.  So while I'm dreaming/planning my next trip to the beach, I can indulge by buying this darling beach tote.

For only $39.50 I can fill this bag full of bikinis and magazines so that at a moment's notice I can rush off to my next destination.

Happy shopping.

Wednesday night rock out – wish I was on the beach edition

I wish I was on a beach right now.  Really.

I'm all about winter clothes and snow, but there is NO REASON for it to be 10 degrees without snow.  And all my gossip sites won't shut up about all these celebs off on their perfect getaways.

SO YA KNOW WHAT? I'm going to take my own little va-cay in my brain.  I'm going to crank my heater up to 85 and make myself a skinnygirl margarita and layout on the "beach."*

(*a towel on the floor in front of my TV which is permanently tuned to the Travel Channel)

As I "layout" this is what I would like to be wearing…

And here's what I'm listening too.

Rock out.

Sweet Emotion – Aerosmith

Bohemian Like You – Dandy Warhols

Scarlet Begonias – Grateful Dead

All my Friends – The Pale Pacific

Electric Eel – MGMT (jerks protected their MP3)
