Cher: "Oh, no. You don’t understand this is an Alaïa."

Robber: "An a-what-a?"

Cher: "It’s like a totally important designer".

Robber: "And I will totally shoot you in the head. Get down!"

"Totally important" designer, Azzedine Alaïa, presented his first couture show in 8 years this week at Fall 2011 Paris Couture Fashion Week.  The excited crowd featured celebrities such as Donatella Versace, Sofia Coppola and Kanye West.  And Alaïa didn't disappoint.

The collection was filled with his famous knitwear.  He has been working with the same mill in Italy for the last 30 years.  Having that long relationship has insured that his trademark form-fitting gowns will always be perfect.  Alaïa's style has always been extrememly body conscious, but this collection proved he could be sexy and subdued. 

I would DIE to take home these two looks!

I'm such a sucker for ruffles and feathers…

Good music on the radio is hard to find.  I'm not talking about Pandora or XM, I mean good ole "AM/FM we play crap music radio."  

Let's go back to a simple time.  Let's go back to '98 and imagine laying by the pool attempting to get your radio/boombox (leftover from the 80s and left out during one too many rainstorms) to turn to your favorite cool college radio station an hour away.  

After too much fuzz YOU HEAR IT… the glorious sound of non-mainstream music!  

One of my favorite songs, was this song called hot pants.  Ridiculously catchy and a bit dirty, it would be stuck in my brain for hours.

It ALSO happens to make me think of the new colorful pants trend that is big for spring.  

Like the lyrics say "any color with do."
