I love a good sale, and I know you do too.  That's why I try to hook you up with the latest and greatest.  But during seasonal transitions when all the new lines come out, everything is full price.  What to do?  Hit my go-to cheap depots for some cheap thrills.

Stores like Old Navy, Topshop, ASOS, ebay, Target, Urban Outfitters often offer great trendy items at great prices.

My cheap thrill is another great find from Urban Outfitters.

 

 How cute are these little rosette rings!  PLUS they have lip gloss in them.  And just when you thought it couldn't get any better…

…these Michael Kors cork heels for these last dog days of summer.

Problem –  $90 (on sale)

Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but I really suspect I'm only going to be wearing these shoes a couple times.

Soooo I'll go with these…

  These are amazing and vintage-looking!  Thank you, Target, for this cheap thrill. And the suede will take me into fall.

…this fierce Louis Vuitton leopard print scarf.

Problem – $1400 (more like big problem!)

Leopard print is so hot for fall, I think I'll stick with this scarf from ASOS.com.

I know it's the dead of winter, but I can't stop thinking about spring.  My fashion soul mate (http://clotheshorseok.wordpress.com/ - go visit her, she's fab!) and I both agree that January is the worst month of the year… fashionably speaking.  All fashion magazines are thin as a pin, and all the stores look terrible and are full of last years unwanted messes.  Booo!!!  
So when I saw this dress (at Gap, of all places), I was inspired and dreaming once again of spring. 

 

 

The beauty of this dress is:

a) it's cheap – $59.50* plus 20% off 

b)  it's classic 

c) and best of all, it's reminiscent of Yves St. Laurent's FAMOUS safari dress, as worn by Verushchka in 1968 in French Vogue 

  

I'm thinking this will be a great transition piece to wear into spring.

Later – wear with strappy chunky spring heels and layer on the gold jewelry
