If the summer of 2017 had an official shoe, it would probably be the slide.   (And this summer you’re going to want these two tone slides.)  But first, let me back up for a second…

My slide obsession started with my Princetown mules.  I kept seeing them everywhere but didn’t know if I wanted to splurge.  After test driving a less expensive version I decided I needed the real thing and I pretty much live in them now.  Next came these ruffled slides that are just the cutest, and then these striped shoes.  I think my Princetowns were my “gateway drug” of slides!

BUT this past weekend, I found these little slides at the back of my closet.  I had completely forgotten about them!  Perhaps  I’ve had a slide addict for longer then I thought?

In the past, I had reserved these Joie “La Plage” sandals just for beach/lake trips.  (After all, “la plage” means beach!)  But I realized these babies need to be worn to other places — besides la plage.  So when I was looking to switch up my latest white lace trim off the shoulder dress I thought of bringing these slides out of retirement.

And I’m glad I did…
