Shopping for spring dresses with Nordstrom

I’m excited for this week to begin because I’m off to Santa Barbara for a girls trip with my mom and gran.  Now that my parents are living part time outside LA, I plan on visiting them a lot more… in California!  For this first trip I’ll be treating the ladies to a Mother’s Day getaway, which I’ll be sharing with you soon.  In the meantime, let’s talk about what I’ll be packing.

Dresses… so many dresses.

To prepare, I’ve been perusing the Nordstrom dress shop.  They have it all sectioned into categories which makes it much easier and quicker to find what I want.  I went straight for the casual dresses for pieces that will be cute for going from day to dinner.  Even though I’m saving most of them to wear on my trip, I couldn’t wait and threw one on this past weekend…

Doesn’t this striped off-the-shoulder dress just look like it deserves to be taken on vacation?  While I dream of taking it to Cabo, I instead took it out for a Mexican brunch.  And since we sat outside, and I got cold (as I always do), I layered it with my trusty denim jacket and it still looked just as cute.

Below are some of the other dresses I’ve had my eye on, including this one which I’m totally obsessed with!  If we book a trip to Mexico it will be the first thing I pack!  I don’t know why but like the dress I’m wearing above, I get a Mexico vibe from it.  Maybe it’s just because I really want to go to Mexico?  Or because I’m craving guacamole… I’m gonna go with both.

Thank you Nordstrom for sponsoring this post and be sure to check out their dress shop!
